Never bringing an elderly church member to that guy's trailer again, that's for sure.

Hey all!
Hope you're having a good Christmas season. Christmas on the mission is different, but in this season of giving, I think the best gift we can give the Lord is to serve him with all our heart, might, mind, and strength. What's great about this gift is that it doesn't require any particular location, time, wealth, or ability. All it takes is you.
Highlights from this week in Missouri:
- Watched a guy total his car right in front of us. He was totally fine, but his car was leaking lots and lots of blue juice after the collision when I'm guessing it really shouldn't have been.
- One of our friends who was planning on being baptized all the way in March just kicked out her boyfriend who was being anti out and now she's living all the commandments so she wants to get baptized next week

- Our friend Matt, who we taught at the temple last week, decided he wants to be baptized as soon as he can too! His mom's the lady who I just mentioned and his little sister is progressing well too so their whole family is about to join the fold!
- Found a huge empty lot in the middle of a neighborhood in the town of Pineville with nothing but a shed, some trees, and...an emu? It was just walkin' around in there. I...don't really know what to say.

- No more tapa mat
. I'm gonna be so for real, I've slept sooooo bad this last week haha. I was dead-set on toughing it out on the floor until I became a hardened mat-sleeper but after a full week of sore, groggy mornings I set my bed back up in shame.

Mat: 1, Elder Rigby: 0.
- Helped a couple who are going through it talk through some stuff and they both really want to turn their lives around and walk with God! We're not supposed to give personal advice as missionaries but they asked for "Jesus advice" so we're cool.
- Went caroling with the church youth and sang Christmas hymns to a whole bunch of friends we met and members we felt like stopping by! It was so awesome. We had one of our friends who wants to be baptized join us as well as two of our new members and one of our good pals who hasn't been to church in a while and saw some awesome miracles with them! We even found a guy who used to be taught by missionaries and decided he's coming to church again this Sunday! Plus, we got to sing to an older couple we'd just visited an hour ago and it made her cry ;). Music has power, man.

Songs of the week:
- "Anchor" by Novo Amor
- Hymn 214 "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"
What makes Latter-day Saints different? Why is it important?

If you're looking for a good way to give that Christmas present to the Savior that I mentioned at the start of my email, try this: watch this video, ask God the question it gives at the end, and act on the answer you feel. I promise you there's no happier way to live than following in the footsteps of Christ.
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Elder Rigby
